description
The acquisition is financed by Welsh Government SMART under the Building Capacity for Collaboration programme and we are looking to purchase resin transfer molding equipment. With this purchase, the BioComposites Centre will enhance its ability to study composite materials made by natural substances, and other emerging products in the circular economy. Although the Centre concentrates on bio-based materials such as timber, fibre composites, sheep's wool, and agricultural by-products, it also collaborates with various industries to tackle issues related to waste management and recycling. The integration of resin transfer molding will enable the development of new products incorporating a variety of materials fibres and bio-based derived resin systems.
