description
Cwm a Mynydd 2014-2020 is a multi-annual strategic programme delivering support to rural areas. The Cwm a Mynydd (CaM) programme covers eligible rural areas within Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent County boroughs. The rural areas are designated by the Welsh Government and are eligible for support through the £3.135 million Cwm a Mynydd LEADER programme which is funded through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 (WGRC-RDP 2014-2020), which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EARDF) and the Welsh Government (WG).Its work is guided by the Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent Local Action Group (CBGLAG) and its Local Development Strategy (LDS).The CBGLAG is comprised of a minimum of 18 members and representatives from the public, private and community sectors who offer advice, guidance, and direction to the programme in addition to assessing applications for financial support. The LDS set out the rationale for the Cwm a Mynydd LEADER Programme and was developed through consultation and engagement sessions during 2014. The consultations set the foundation and framework of the programme, what it should support and the indicators and outcomes it should achieve during its delivery. Together with an outline of need, the scope of intervention and suitability of approach and a table of interventions and proposed delivery structure and budget form the Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent LDS.
