description
What is required/ ‘The requirements’We are looking for a contractor who will be responsible for filming and editing videos for the Accolades awards ceremony. This time, we will only require filming to be done of finalists in the three categories for organisations or teams. This will involve:- filming a maximum of nine projects that have reached the final stage of the awardsFor each of the nine, this will mean travelling to a location where an organi-sation or team is based and filming interviews with individuals and footage of activities and the setting which can be used as cut-away shots to make the films more interesting and informative. There is usually a fairly even geo-graphical split of projects reaching the final stage. Therefore, you should base your costs and expenses on filming three in north Wales and three each in the south west and south east. We will not know the exact loca-tions for filming until the judges have selected the finalists on or around 17 February. We would then wish the supplier to organise the filming and carry it out between 27 February and 17 March 2023. We will give you the questions to ask those who will need to be interviewed. Some of the in-terviewees may wish to be interviewed in Welsh. Therefore, the supplier will need to have a Welsh-speaking team member to assist in those instances.- editing footage from the nine projects to create individual films that are no longer than two minutes each in lengthSuppliers should allow for at least two sets of changes being made to the first versions of the films.- creating and including a consistent style of captions to start and end the films, as well as for the names of intervieweesAll wording for titles and captions will have to be bilingual, with Welsh being coming first. We will not require the supplier to include subtitles on the films.- including suitable background music on all the films- adding consistent captions, titles and background music to a series of self-filmed videos of the finalists in the two categories for individualsThese captions, titles and music will need to be consistent with those used in the videos the supplier will film for us. There will be no more than eight of these videos.- ‘stitching’ together the final, agreed films for each of the five categoriesThis is so they can be shown one after the other when each category is fea-tured at the awards ceremony. We will still need all the films to be available as stand alone videos for future use.- compiling a two-minute montage, with suitable upbeat music, of selected footage from the films, as well as other footage we will have of finalists from the two categories for individuals- delivering final edited versions of the films by 31 March 2023.
