NWP.52753 Vehicle Servicing & Maintenance

The Police Service has a statutory duty to deliver an effective response to criminal offences or public safety issues. In this regard, the Chief Constable must ensure the Police Service in North Wales responds to policing emergencies in a timely and efficient way. Supporting the objective of delivering an effective response is the vehicle fleet which must be serviced, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards at all times. Minimising vehicle abstraction at workshops and maximising their availability and reliability is critical to ensuring the public of North Wales receive the very highest quality of policing at all times. This specification defines and describes the scope of the goods and services suppliers will be required to provide to the contracting body. The aim of this specification is to appoint suppliers to provide vehicle servicing, MOT, general repair, and associated services which include collection and delivery of vehicles.Suppliers should note that the contracting body already undertakes in-house servicing for vehicles within the Central and Eastern areas of the force and that this contract will be in conjunction with that capability and for the Western areas only.
