description
NatureScot intends to engage with the market to understand the capability, capacity, and approaches available for delivering evidence based wildfire resilience assessment and long term mitigation planning for Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve (NNR), located near Kinlochewe in the Highlands of Scotland. As part of this we would like to look at the comparative wildfire resilience of the main habitat types found on the NNR, which could help to inform future management to improve resilience, ideally through nature-based solutions Beinn Eighe, designated in 1951 as the UK’s first National Nature Reserve, contains the largest remnant of Caledonian Pinewood in north west Scotland and is of exceptional ecological value.
As part of developing the procurement approach NatureScot is seeking views and information from the marketplace through this Prior Information Notice PIN.
