description

The Institute for Regeneration and Repair (IRR) is a research institute based at the University of Edinburgh, with scientists and clinicians studying tissue regeneration and repair to advance human health and reproductive outcomes.

The Institute incorporates three leading research centres with a focus on regenerative medicine, inflammation and reproductive health. The Tissue Culture facility has identified a system, which is an automated microwave peptide synthesiser, to replace the current peptide synthesiser, which is 7 years old and is no longer manufactured by the manufacturer. This upgrade will enable reaction time savings, allowing researchers to queue samples and have more hands-off time, while also reducing solvent waste production.
