description
sportscotland is seeking to appoint a supplier to design and deliver a programme of learning for up to 12 ‘Coach Development Practitioners’ (CDPs), for an 18-month period. Scotland has achieved a series of best-ever outcomes in the last decade of performance sport, but to retain success on the ever-more competitive world stage, sportscotland Institute of Sport (SIS) needs to grow the ‘Coach Developer Practitioner’ workforce to better enable the support and learning of Performance/Performance Pathway coaches. Currently, seven CDPs are deployed by SGBs (Scottish Governing Bodies of Sport) to support coaches on a 1:1 basis, with circa 60 coaches supported since 2020. With around 170-200 coaches operating in the Performance/Performance Pathways coaching space, a growth in this workforce is required.
Full details are provided in Section 2 – Project Brief which includes the sportscotland curriculum for Performance Coach Development.
The contract duration is 18 months. The contract is set to commence in December 2024.
