description
This was a Mini Competition for the Zero Waste Scotland Framework Agreement: 19-CE-119-OJ Circular Economy Business Support (Lot 4 - Business and Product Development)The objective of this CE Business Support is to research and develop a reuse bottle scheme for Glen Spean Brewery, by providing the following support:Task 1: Utilising existing carbon studies, to provide reassurance to Glen Spean that a bottle reuse scheme in the format proposed (trade sales, return logistics etc) has a significant enough impact on carbon emissions to justify development.Task 2: Development and presentation of the best operational model for a bottle reuse scheme at Glen Spean brewery.Task 3: Research and assessment of appropriate equipment and techniques for a bottle reuse system.Task 4: Market engagement with existing trade customers to establish their willingness to transition to a potential bottle return system for Glen Spean beer.Task 5: As bottle reuse schemes are a pertinent issue, Zero Waste Scotland also requests the presentation of the above (and further) research in a comprehensive guidance document, to be used as a future ‘one-to-many’ resource. This Task 5 is not an output for the client, but a separate deliverable for Zero Waste Scotland.
