The City of Edinburgh Council requires a WCA contractor to carry out waste composition analysis (WCA) of kerbside collected wastes. The results from the study should be representative of the whole local authority area.The Council has received funding from Zero Waste Scotland to complete waste composition analysis (WCA) of the household wastes collected by the Council.As well as addressing local information needs, the data from this study will be used by Zero Waste Scotland to produce national estimates of household waste composition. National estimates are used by Zero Waste Scotland in a range of analytical and communications work on behalf of the Scottish Government.The objective of the work is to provide the Council with an accurate assessment of the composition of kerbside collected household wastes.
