South Lanarkshire Council has a requirement for a suitably qualified provider for the provision of the collection, treatment and disposal of Recyclate Waste throughout South Lanarkshire. The proposed contract is a renewal of previous procurement arrangements.
The call-off contract is under the Scotland Excel Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Treatment and Disposal of Recyclable and Residual Waste (no. 27/17).
The Call Off Contract under the DPS is awarded via Mini-Competition:
Lot 1 – Treatment of Co-mingled Mixed Recyclate
The Mini Competition contained two geographical sub-lots as detailed below to ensure that the travelling distances and times to/from the reprocessors’ facilities are maintained to a minimum.
Lot 1 - Treatment of Co-mingled Mixed Recyclate
- – Call Off Contract for Container Mix (North Area)
- – Call Off Contract for Container Mix (South Area)
The Council reserved the right to appoint one or more contractors under each Mini Competition based on each geographical sub-lot.
The contract will run for a period of three years from 01 April 2022 – 30 September 2023 with the option to extend for a further period of up to 18 months.
