description

The University of Stirling is seeking tenders to supply an eddy covariance flux tower to measure landscape-scale carbon (CO2 and CH4) and water (H2O) fluxes at a peatland restoration site in the Forth Valley, Scotland. The system will form part of Forth-ERA, a multimillion-pound flagship investment in a new digital environment observatory being developed in the Firth of Forth catchment. Forth-ERA will be the first observatory of its type in the UK, providing real-time data from sensors, satellites, and models to transform how we monitor and manage our environment. The University are working in partnership with numerous national and regional stakeholders to co-develop the observatory to maximize opportunities to use the platform to support the operational needs of public, private and charitable organizations while also providing a testbed for technological innovation.
