Provision of Heritage Interpretive Services (Research, Planning, Copywriting, Design/Print/film/Manufacture) for Interpretation on Cuilcagh Mountain and Cuilcagh-Anierin Uplands SACs

• The CANN Project (Collaborative Action for the Natura Network) is a five-year, cross-border environmental project spanning Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland which is funded by the EU through the INTERREG VA Programme and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body. The project which will run to December 2022, is being led by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council in partnership with 10 other organisations consisting of scientific and research institutions, public-sector bodies, charities and community organisations.
• Over the project’s lifetime, we aim to deliver an improvement in the conservations status of 27 sites across the three jurisdictions, focusing on Natura 2000 sites (SACs) comprising wetland, peatland, and freshwater habitats alongside the species associated with these specific environments.
• The project team will work alongside local landowners and stakeholders to implement a range of conservation actions to protect these internationally important environmental sites, and to ensure the sustainable management of the habitats long after the project has finished. The project also aims to raise awareness of the importance of these sites and their species, the threats which the site face and to encourage the public to get involved and make sustainable choices. The interpretation planned for Cuilcagh and Anierin is part of this awareness raising programme.
• 1.An outline interpretation plan to be created for the Cuilcagh and Anierin SACs.

2a. Copywriting for text of 4 interpretive panels (A1 size or equivalent area)

2b. The graphic design and manufacture of the four A1 size (or equal area to A1) interpretation panels using the text from above

3. Swatch-style ID guide(s) to specific species found on Cuilagh and Anierin should also be designed and produced with a print run of 500.
4. A short video 2 – 5 minutes, either whiteboard or other animation with live action/photographs if required.
