description

The LiFi R&D Center (LRDC) requires to procure lab instrumentation as part of its move from the University of Edinburgh to the University of Strathclyde.

The instrumentation will support the continued research and development in the field of optical wireless systems based on LiFi technology.

The equipment should enable cutting edge experimentation that would achieve > 1 Tbps datarates at distances of up to 1 km, as well as experimentation targeted at modest capability in specific use cases where speeds on the order of 1 Gbps are required.

The LRDC is looking to procure equipment that is interoperable as well as easy to integrate in the current existing automated workflows which are implemented in the MATLAB programming environment.
