NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) wishes to procure an externally hosted Environmental Management System Tool (EMS) for use by all NHSScotland Boards.
The EMS will assist the NHSScotland Boards to demonstrate that they address and minimise environmental impacts and manage legal compliance. It will assist the Boards to monitor and continuously improve their environmental performance.
The EMS tool is to be based broadly on the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 to facilitate certification to this standard should it be required by NHS Boards. The tool will be appropriate for the diverse nature of the NHSScotland estate, the large number of sites and broad range of activities/environmental aspects.
