description
RESuME will be the first National Manufacturing Institute for Scotland (NMIS) test bed to be detailed and developed. Test beds are essential to address known and specific industrial challenges, but also to illustrate and demonstrate the potential from manufacturing technology to a wider audience NMIS test beds will address integration challenges which go beyond the more specific potential from foundational processing technologies and illustrate potential at the enterprise level.
In most cases the test beds represent supply chain approaches and in some cases demonstrators which extend through the Scottish Industrial landscape.
RESuME is designed to illustrate the combined capabilities of the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) in metallic and composite processing technology and NMIS capabilities in digital technology, design and make, and supply chain agility.
