description
SDS invites proposals to deliver Foundation Apprenticeships (FA) across Scotland for participants commencing in academic year 2020. On behalf of Scottish Government, SDS has an ambitious target of 5,000 FA starts. The estimated contract value for this notice is for 5,000 FA starts. SDS may contract for a higher volume to ensure achievement of the 5,000 target overall. Delivery of each framework will require a partnership/sub-contractor or consortium approach to ensure delivery in line with regional demand. All arrangements will need to bring together Colleges, Local Authorities, Schools, Training Providers and Employers to support ambitions of FA delivery across regions and frameworks for academic years 2020/22 for a 2 year delivery and/or shorter duration delivery. The target group is young people in senior phase of education in Scotland and there are currently 12 frameworks currently available for delivery.
