description

This contract is split into two lots for the management of two systems, Reservoir Telemetry and River Level Sensors.

The Reservoir Telemetry system allows for the control of the reservoir water levels, whilst providing a compensatory flow in the Water of Leith, through a number of out stations and a web based telemetry system.

In addition to this the City of Edinburgh Council has a duty to carry out monitoring of water levels and flows in watercourses throughout the city. The river level sensor system allows for remote monitoring of water levels, this is essential during flood events as it allows flood defences to be put in place early.
