description
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) invites proposals from education providers to deliver courses to support nurses working in General Practice. These courses will aim to prepare for the evolving role of the nurse, supporting increasingly complex needs of individuals and communities and greater demands on primary care services as the balance of care shifts from hospital to the community.
The rationale for commissioning education nationally is to ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources and a once for Scotland approach that delivers consistency in the quality of the provision. The aim is to achieve equity of access for nurses in all geographical areas and complement courses already offered by NHS Education for Scotland and NHS Boards.
