description
SDS invites proposals to deliver Foundation Apprenticeships (FA) across Scotland for participants commencing in academic year 2019. On behalf of Scottish Government, SDS has an ambitious target of 5,000 FA starts by 2019. The estimated value in this notice is for 5,000 FA starts, however, in line with standard practice SDS may contract for a higher volume to ensure achievement of the 5,000 target. Delivery of each framework will require a partnership/sub-contractor or consortium approach to ensure delivery in line with regional demand. All arrangements will need to bring together Colleges, Local Authorities, Schools, Training Providers and Employers to support the ambitions of FA delivery across regions and frameworks for academic year 2019/21 for 2 year delivery and 2019/20 for shorter duration delivery FA programmes. The target group is young people in senior phase of school/education in Scotland and there are 12 frameworks currently available for delivery.
