The NHSGGC (City) is seeking a dynamic organisation(s), or partnership of organisations, to deliver community based stress services that will complement the work of its own staff and many partners. This programme of work will provide an important contribution to the adult mental health improvement framework. The service(s) will be targeted adults (aged 16 and over) in the most deprived communities along with population groups experiencing significant social and health inequalities.

It is expected that flexible, culturally appropriate approaches will be used and that the interested organisation(s) will demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the pattern of inequalities in Glasgow and of the barriers in working in communities with high levels of deprivation.

The service(s) will operate an open referrals process, whereby an individual can refer themselves into the service, as well as accepting referrals from other services, organisations or individuals.

The service(s) should deliver a range of interventions including:

  • Individual 1:1 work (including intensive interventions/crisis based work)
  • Focused group work delivery
  • Broader population work
  • Delivery of targeted taster sessions to promote the service(s)
