Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring, Modelling and Atmospheric Data Analysis Services

Provision of specialist scientific research and environmental modelling services in support of the Emissions Measurement System Programme. The work includes the development and application of atmospheric inversion modelling techniques to improve the estimation of UK greenhouse gas emissions, analysis of methane (CH₄), nitrous oxide (N₂O) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) emission trends, sectoral attribution of methane emissions, integration of observational datasets, and enhancement of modelling tools and codebases. The services will support the production of robust, traceable, and timely greenhouse gas emissions estimates to inform national emissions reporting, verification activities, and environmental policy development.
