description
THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION
Leicester City Council is undertaking a review of the current and future detoxification provision available to Leicester residents. Drug and alcohol detoxification is an important part of the wider treatment and recovery system and supports individuals to safely reduce or stop their use of alcohol, illicit drugs and prescribed medications where clinically appropriate.
Leicester City Council currently commissions access to specialist inpatient detoxification provision as part of a wider treatment pathway. We are seeking to better understand the current market provision and possible options to develop the service. As part of this review, we are particularly interested in understanding the benefits, limitations, and suitability of medically monitored detoxification and community-based treatment models.
As part of the commissioning process, the council is undertaking a Soft Market Test.
This gives the opportunity for potential providers to share their views and experiences on potential service models, delivery approaches and commissioning considerations.
Please note that any procurement and contract start dates mentioned in this notice are estimates and may change. Additionally, the total contract value is an estimate and it is likely to change.
