This contract provides Community Transport services to support older residents in Westminster to access essential community activities, shopping, day opportunities and social participation. The service includes:
Group minibus transport, including scheduled community routes and ad‑hoc bookings for eligible groups.
Individual transport through the Community Car Scheme, delivered by a volunteer driver network.
A Shopper Service, providing scheduled transport to local supermarkets and key retail locations.
Subsidised transport for named Westminster groups (WCC contract only), delivered in line with current service policy.
The supplier must deliver all transport using an appropriate fleet of minibuses and volunteer vehicles, meeting safety, accessibility, insurance and licensing requirements. Services must operate reliably, to agreed timetables, and in accordance with the KPIs set out in the contract. annual value: £127,237, with optional monthly extensions up to a total possible value of £169,648.
The supplier must provide all staffing, volunteer coordination, vehicle scheduling, reporting, record‑keeping and performance monitoring necessary to deliver the service, ensuring continuity of provision throughout the contract period.
