AHDB In-Market representative for Asia (covering Red Meat Exports)

AHDB intend to procure a Contract to a successful Representative for the provision of representation work on behalf of AHDB covering Southeast Asia.

AHDB are looking for a dual language (relevant language to the region and English) speaking representative who must be located in an agreed market in the region.

The successful representative will be expected to:

• Liaise closely with the AHDB red meat team, particularly the senior trade development manager for Asia to agree and update on activity as well as provide the latest market intelligence and insights
• Identify and develop priority markets
• Support delivery of AHDB’s red meat export strategy
• To be located in an agreed market in Southeast Asia with opportunity for British red meat exports. Ability to easily travel around the region will be crucial to the success of this role.
• Effectively maintain and build new relationships with relevant contacts in the Asia Region. Where appropriate, work jointly with them to increase market exposure and demand for British red meat exports.
• Devise and implement effective local strategies to promote British red meat exports aimed at increasing importer, food services and retailer awareness and British exporter involvement through promotions and other activities
• Devise and help implement online and social media strategy in conjunction with AHDB Red Meat export & social media team to raise awareness of Quality Meat from Britain
• Support in-market exhibition activity.
• Liaise with AHDB staff in areas such as media, PR, digital.

Tender closing date for this opportunity is NOON on 12th June 2026. The start date of the contract is 31st July 2026.

This contract is for 1 year with 1+1 options to extend (The extension options may be a full or part time position depending on the requirements of AHDB and therefore we would like to be upfront and transparent about that at the beginning of this process. Extensions are not guaranteed pieces of work). Budget is indicative £108,000 (GBP Pound Sterling) per annum. Split is approx. £70k salary, £30k for activities.
