EICR testing - 1 Purpose and Scope

Where applicable, in the context of electrical design, it is imperative to emphasize the significance of aligning the design process with the regulations set out in BS 7671, also known as the IET Wiring Regulations. BS 7671 serves as a crucial framework for electrical installations and is designed to ensure the safety, integrity, and reliability of electrical systems. In no event shall reliance solely upon this specification document replace the need for comprehensive electrical design, analysis, and consultation where required. Service providers shall assume full responsibility for any electrical design and implementation conducted based on the information contained herein.
1. Where applicable, all electrical design work must be carried out by competent individuals who possess a comprehensive understanding of BS 7671. It should be acknowledged that failure to adhere to BS 7671 could compromise the safety of the electrical installation and result in non-compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

In the event of any discrepancy discovered after submission, the service provider is deemed to have included within their submission any alternative that provides compliance as determined by the client.
1. The service provider shall be deemed to be the service provider appointed to carry out the work covered by the specification, whether employed as the primary service provider or as a sub-contractor instructed by the primary service provider.
