NHS Norfolk & Waveney ICB (NWICB) is undertaking market engagement for the Provision of a Learning Disability Respite Service for People aged 18+ with a learning disability, who are under the duty of care of NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and are registered with a GP within Norfolk & Waveney.<br/><br/>This is a Market Engagement process to assess the interest, capacity and capability of the market to deliver a five-bed residential respite service with nursing care for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.<br/><br/>The service will be provided 24 hours per day, seven days a week including days, evenings and weekends, and will be provided over a full 52 weeks per year, as defined and detailed in the Essential Standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). <br/><br/>This contract is anticipated to advertised and procured on the basis of an initial 3 year contract period, with an option to extend up to a further 24 months subject to Commissioner discretion and requirements (5 years in total).
