Home Removals and Associated Services

The service required under this contract is to undertake home removals of properties managed and/or maintained by Derby Homes.

These will mainly be within the city of Derby boundary. It may also include provision of

• temporary storage of items;
• a complete packing service; which may include dismantling and reassembling items of

furniture; and

• boxes and/or containers to enable customers to pack their belongings.

Termination of previous contract was unforeseeable. This is to award a short-term contract for the above services without conducting a competitive tender procedure to safeguard continuity of essential housing services. The contract includes provisions that allow for early termination
