description
Bradford Children and Families Trust (the Trust) was established to stabilise, recover, and improve children’s services under new leadership – accountable to, but operationally independent from Bradford Metropolitan District Council. The Trust is dedicated to ensuring that children in care, or those subject to care proceedings, have meaningful and appropriate opportunities for family time with their family members and other significant individuals in their lives. The Children Act 1989, Schedule 2 Paragraph 15, sets out our duty to promote contact (family time) between children in care and their parents, others with parental responsibility for them, their relatives and friends, and other significant people. Bradford Children and Families Trust’s Family Time Team is committed to ensuring that children in care or children subject to care proceedings have consistent and high-quality family time with family members and significant people in their lives, in a family-friendly venue. It is essential that Supervised Family Time sessions are facilitated by an appropriately qualified, experienced and supportive family time contact supervisor who has a caring manner, actively listens to the voices of the child or young person and their family, ensuring that the sessions are enjoyable and foster positive lifelong memories. Further to the event held in November 2024, the Trust would like to invite potential providers to attend a final market engagement event on 22nd October 2025, 12.30-13.30 on MS Teams, ahead of the publication of the tender To register for this event please email: ChildrensCommissioning@bradford.gov.uk using the title Market Engagement Event – Provision of Supervised Family Time Contact Services in the subject matter.
