The Sexual Violence Therapy service provides trauma informed therapeutic support to children and young people who have experienced and/or been impacted by sexual violence, rape, sexual exploitation, or who are sexually vulnerable. The service works with the child and family, as appropriate, to achieve therapeutic change. The service also provides advice and training to partner agencies in their specific specialism of sexual abuse and works collaboratively with others to help create effective pathways for children to achieve better life chances. Various forms of therapy are offered by the provider’s multi-disciplinary team of therapists. The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the regulations. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice therefore no threshold is applicable. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 - Direct Award Process C. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the PCR 2015 do not apply to this award. No conflicts of interest were identified as part of this process. The award decision-makers for this contract are the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Councils Children’s Services and Place Health and Adult Social Care Directorate Management Teams and Senior Management Teams and South Yorkshire ICB.
