Objectives of the service:
| • | to treat patients who have been immediately directed into it with unscheduled urgent dental clinical presentations |
| • | to undertake a clinically appropriate examination with consideration to the general health of the mouth (and refer where necessary), assessment and investigations; |
| • | to provide clinical treatment necessary to meet the patient's immediate urgent presentation and pain management needs; |
| • | to refer to other services where necessary |
