Plymouth Learning Disability Supported Employment re-procurement.
We would like to invite you to attend the market engagement event for the
Plymouth Learning Disability Supported Employment re-procurement.
Supported employment refers to the intervention offered to people with disabilities, including learning disabilities, mental health, and traumatic brain injury, to help with obtaining and maintaining paid employment.

| • | 1pm-3pm, 23rd May 2025: (Crownhill Court PCC offices – Board Room 1 Behind Reception) |
During the sessions, we will describe our aims in terms of the contract and the procurement activity and timeframes, and provide an opportunity for questions and answers.
We are striving for a service where:
| • | A strong evidence-based approach achieves results and delivers sustainable paid employment for people with learning disabilities in the city |
| • | A clear model for measuring and delivery quality in supported employment is in place |
| • | The pathway towards paid employment is based on the British Association of Supported Employment (BASE) model and working effectively |
| • | Industry respected accreditation for service delivery has been achieved |
| • | Models of awareness training and support for employers are in place |
| • | Robust knowledge of reasonable adjustments and ability to be able to secure additional support to get a paid job if required |
| • | Strength based approaches for job seekers and employers are standard practice |
The formal business case to proceed with procurement was granted approval from Plymouth City Councils Cabinet on 22/01/2025.
