Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) with operating software, commissioning and pilot support

Tees Valley Combined Authority (the 'Contacting Authority'), part of the Tees Valley Combined Authority Group, have awarded a contract for the provision of a Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) baggage cargo Tug, and a CAV airside passenger Shuttle with the following requirements:

• oCAV Tug (one of) comprising vehicle and integrated hardware to operate autonomously.

• oCAV Shuttle (one of) comprising vehicle and integrated hardware to operate autonomously.
• oAssociated CAV software required for the CAV Shuttle to operate autonomously.
• oOperational control and fleet management software required to task, control and monitor the CAV Tug and CAV Shuttle.
• oHardware necessary to operate the operational control and fleet management software.
• oVehicle access at a showcasing event in Teesside in Summer 2025 (date TBC)
• oAcceptance test plan for both CAV types.

• oTraining for operators and maintainers for both CAV types.
