AMP 8 Metering

With over 90 per cent of our customers already on a water meter, we have a wealth of insights into how and when our customers use water. But as the twin challenges of climate change and demand for water increase, we must continue to explore ways to harness the full potential of smart metering across our region.

We already have a successful smart metering programme for AMP7, and we're on track to deliver 1.1million smart meters by April 2025, but we know today's solutions won't solve tomorrow's problems.

As we prepare for AMP8 and beyond, we want to seek out a new and innovative approach to delivering smart metering across our region. We're looking for a partner with the capability to manage the whole metering process, from 'end to end' - including supply, installation and network provision.

Anglian Water is now looking for interested parties to get in touch to gauge capability, interest and to support the development stage of the project through a market engagement process. A webinar will be held on 23 March 2023 with further information.

The purpose of the webinar is to introduce the market to the concept of the business model and encourage potential partners to think differently in how they might be able to work with Anglian Water to deliver this exciting project.
