Transport for London (TfL) is inviting suppliers to participate in the early market engagement for the 92TS Central Line and W&C Auto-Couplers / Drawbars + Corresponding Drawgear Overhaul. This involves the supply and/or manufacture of the replacements for the London Underground 92 Tube Stock. Central Line total of 85 x 8 car trains and W&C 92TS has further 5 x 4 car trains. The Auto-couplers, Drawbars and associated drawgear require an essential overhaul as a part of the upcoming 2022 92TS Programme Lift.. The aim of the replacements are to ensure reliability, improved energy efficiency and an extended lifecycle. TFL is seeking to engage with industry experts, suppliers and trade bodies through this Prior Information Note(PIN) to participate in Early Market Engagement (EME). Through EME, TfL would like to review the indicative programme, understand the current market appetite, capacity and capability, and help to determine a cost effective solution .Interested parties are requested to respond to the Early Market Engagement' PIN by expressing an interest as outlined below. Information provided as part of this early market engagement will be used to inform TfL’s approach to the delivery of the Auto Couplers Overhaul. TfL may at is sole discretion enter into further discussions with respondents submission of Expression of Interest (EOI). Suppliers are invited to register their interest via ProContract by 14 pm on 18th may 2022. Please address/title your email: Organisation Name - Confirmation of your interest in Transport for " 92TS Central Line Heavy Overhaul Early Market Engagement for Auto couplers". Suppliers should provide: a) company name and company registration number; b) key contact details; and c) Response to the EME Questionnaire in regards to the scope which will be used by TfL for engagement planning purposes. This PIN is issued solely for the purposes of the market engagement. No information contained in this document, or provided during and for the market engagement exercise, constitutes any commitment by TfL or any member of the TfL group or any of its or their stakeholders to undertake any procurement exercise in the future. This PIN does not constitute a call for competition to procure any services, supplies or works for TfL, and TfL is not bound to accept any proposals offered. TfL is not liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any party participating in the market engagement. Any possible future procurement of any services, supplies or works by TfL would be carried out strictly in accordance with any relevant obligations under the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
