North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a care system support organisation and is managing this market engagement exercise and a possible future procurement process for the provision of a North Region - Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme for NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI) North East and Yorkshire (South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw) (SY&B)) and (North East & North Cumbria (NENC)) and NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI) North West (Lancashire & South Cumbria (L&SC)) and (Cheshire & Merseyside (C&M)) and Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership (Greater Manchester and East Cheshire) (GM&EC)) (the Contracting Authorities).

This Request for Information (RFI) process is being undertaken to engage with the market to inform the further development of draft proposals for future service delivery of a comprehensive North Region - Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme to be delivered across (SY&B), (NENC), (L&SC), (C&M), and (GM&EC) covering the following areas.

Lot 1 - Cheshire & Merseyside – Activity 13,398

Lot 2 - Lancashire & South Cumbria - Activity 10,897

Lot 3 - Greater Manchester and East Cheshire (excluding Glossop) - Activity 17,118

Lot 4 - North East & North Cumbria - Activity 21,132

Lot 5 - South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw - Activity 10,097

The objective of the RFI is to:

-Understand market Capability and Capacity to deliver the service.
-Understand the preferred contractual model for delivering the service.
-Understand if the service model is viable and sustainable for the length of the contract.
-Understand the preferred / most viable contract length.
-Understand if there are any financial risks with the delivery of the service.
-Understand the mobilisation requirements of the service.
-Understand the premises requirements for the service.
-Understand any barriers to bidding and whole service risk and
-Understand the social value deliverable's of the service.

The RFI documentation will be accessible from 12:00 noon on 25 April 2022 and completed RFI responses must be submitted by 12.00 noon on 16 May 2022.

A future procurement opportunity for NHSE561 North Region – Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme could be published in August 2022.
