The tendered works include for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electricity transmission underground cable works as part of the Skye 132kV Reinforcement scheme.

The works consist of 24km of new 132kV double circuit, two cable per phase (see figure 1 below).

These works include:

Undergrounding of the section of the new 132kV double circuit from the East side of Loch Ainort for15km to the West side of Loch Sligachan. Including a single fibre optic cable.
Laying of haul roads and accesses to the cables and sealing end compounds.
All associated substation and SEC tie in works
Reinstatement on completion of all works.
