description
Coventry City Council is working with various strategic stakeholders across the West Midlands to deliver an innovative and exciting project which aims to bring together the latest
innovation in the automotive sector and apply them to the light rail sector.
The objective is to develop an affordable tram system, using Very Light Rail technologies, that is capable of being successfully deployed in Coventry before being expanded throughout the UK to other similar sized locations and then internationally. This will be achieved by developing lightweight and low-cost vehicles and trackform alongside the CVLR first route.
