description
The Council wishes to establish a Block Contract to support the Council’s statutory duty to provide temporary accommodation to vulnerable households under the housing Act 1996, the Homelessness Act 2002 and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017. These Acts require the Council to provide accommodation on a temporary basis for a minimum of 56 days to relieve or prevent homelessness or for a longer term while permanent accommodation is secured. • Lot 1 – Family HMO • Lot 2 – Studio / 1 Bedroomed • Lot 3 – 2 Bedroomed • Lot 4 – 3 Bedroomed • Lot 5 – 4 Bedroomed • Lot 6 – 5 Bedroomed • Lot 7 – 6 Bedroomed The Contract will have the potential to last for up to 10 years. The initial period will be for a period of 6 years with the option to extend for an additional 4 years unless terminated under the terms and conditions of contract.
