ID 3664408 DAERA - AFBI - CHARTER OF FISHING VESSELS

AFBI is seeking to commission a number of fishing vessels; Two prawn trawlers below 12 m, Prawn trawler above 12 m (with a second required on occasion), A semi-pelagic vessel (space to accommodate up to two scientists), A semi-pelagic vessel (space to accommodate up to three scientists) and One pelagic vessel, The commission must include all management, crew, victuals, and other services necessary to fish in the manners defined below, for a potential period of 3 years. The vessels will receive any work that will have to be commissioned by AFBI during the gear trials and upcoming trials, commercial herring survey and charters involving a semi-pelagic fleet other than the FSP survey (e.g. cod tagging, other up-coming trials) Fishing/surveys will be undertaken within the western Irish Sea (ICES Area 6a and 7a, dependent on individual trial/survey).
