The tender and subsequent framework agreement consists of 5 Lots:
Lot 1 Conversion of a van based vehicle into a type b emergency ambulance
Lot 2 Conversion of a base vehicle to form a mental health transport vehicle
Lot 3 Conversion of a a base vehicle into a non-stretcher carrying patient transport vehicle.
Lot 4 Conversion of a base vehicle into a stretcher carrying patient transport vehicle.
Lot 5 Conversion of a car into a rapid response vehicle.
The resulting framework and subsequent further competitions is intended to support the recommendations of Lord Carter’s review into unwarranted variation in NHS ambulance services https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/lord-carters-review-into-unwarranted-variation-in-nhs-ambulance-trusts/
