description

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier to produce a Feasibility Study for the Multi-Use Building, as a part of the wider Town Fund suite of projects, in line with the requirements of its detailed specification.

In September 2019, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) announced one hundred and one (101) towns who were eligible to bid for up to £25,000,000 each through the Towns Fund. The objective of the Towns Fund is to drive the economic regeneration of towns for long-term economic and productivity growth.

On Tuesday, 8th June 2021, government confirmed that the Corby Town Deal had been successful in securing £19,900,000 for the four (4) projects detailed in the TIP. One (1) of the four (4) projects being the Multi-Use Building.

The next stage of the project requires the commission of a robust Feasibility Study to evaluate how the allocated space of a multi-use building could be renovated to incorporate the following uses:

  • Creative/cultural hub;
  • Multi-purpose community space;
  • A community café /bistro;
  • Health and wellbeing area; and
  • Third sector uses.
