description
The purpose of this notice is to inform the market that DfE is considering its options for the future provision of Cloud Hosting services. DfE is hosting an industry market engagement event to give potential suppliers the opportunity to better understand our needs. In return we are looking for information on best practice and potential ways forward that better inform our emerging requirements. Please review the attached document before responding.
This market engagement event will be held virtually via MS Teams on Thursday 14th December at 10:00am.
To register your interest to participate in this market engagement event, you will need to be registered as a supplier on the DfE Jaggaer e-tendering portal, available at https://education.app.jaggaer.com/web/login.html.
After the event, suppliers will be invited to complete a questionnaire to provide supporting information on a range of areas that will support DfE's development of its cloud hosting strategy. The supplier responses will be reviewed and where appropriate, suppliers may be invited to 1-2-1 sessions to explore ideas and discuss potential delivery models further.
*Please be aware that registration is for the Market Engagement Event only. This event does not signify the commencement of any procurement process and does not constitute any commitment by the Department for Education. This is NOT an invitation to tender for a contract opportunity and any suppliers invited to the event will not have a privileged position in relation to any future contract opportunity. Any subsequent procurement(s) that DfE conducts will be based on the fair and objective outcome of a procurement process.*
