description

This tender specification is offered as an invitation to tender for a service agreement with Sheffield Hallam University to deliver a training programme, through the engagement of a PhD cohort, that increases the aspirations of higher ability school students and to create a suite of teaching resources for wider dissemination. There are two specific objectives;

  • Sessions with Students - To recruit PhD students from the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University to deliver educational sessions to HeppSY+ targeted school students in order to; expand their knowledge of research topics, develop their research skills and increase their interest and confidence in applying for a higher tariff university.
  • Resource Development - To create a range of resources based on various PhD research topics, map these to national curriculum subjects, and make them available for delivery by teachers in HeppSY+ target schools. These materials will; enhance curriculum delivery, promote positive progression to higher education, be available as on-line web based resources and should lead to increased teacher confidence when discussing HE options with their students.
