The Council is seeking a supplier to deliver a specialist advice service for asylum seekers and refugees in Cambridge. The service will provide effective information, support and advice. It will help to tackle economic and social marginalisation, assist with immigration status and help people to find accommodation.
In 2016 the Council commissioned a survey in the City to establish how many asylum seekers and refugees are in the city that fall outside the home office schemes and who are in need of the service described below. The survey indicated the need for a service that provides the following:-

| • | Improved awareness of available health services |
| • | Information about the job market and volunteering opportunities |
| • | Specialist immigration and asylum seeking advice |
| • | Support with making applications to the Home Office on behalf of clients applying for various visas/stays. |
