description
Following the publication of a prior information notice the CCG has assessed that London Medical Associates Ltd is the only capable provider at this time taking into account an on-going development and the significantly challenging budget that they work within. Critically, this provider is also in a unique position to be able to access patient lists with the full support and approval of the Primary Care providers across the locality. An integrated 1 year contract with the option to extend by a further year will enable London Medical Associates Ltd to ensure efficiency, flexibility and sustainability to meet the demands of the patients within West London as well as supporting core general practice. This interim service will support the NHS West London CCG to achieve the Extended Hours requirements being mandated and funded by NHS England(General Practice Forward View).
The objectives of the Extended Hours Service are to extend WLCCG registered patient access to local GP services between 6.30pm to 9pm weekdays (3 hours), 8.00am to 8.00pm Saturdays and Sundays and 9.00am- 1.00pm Bank Holidays. This service is delivered by a provider which includes all WL GP practices as members, ensuring equity of access and quality of service provision to the entire population group. The service will be delivered across2 locations to serve a patient population of 246,000 patients, registered with 43 GP practices.
