description
Projects will be primarily transportation orientated but other disciplines such as risk management, highway design, public consultation and environmental assessment may be required. The Consultant will liaise with Amey (the County Councils in-house strategic partners) and any other specialists and advisors appointed by the County Council as required. For each new instruction, the consultant shall submit an inception report to the designated officer for approval. All projects are expected to fall under the following areas of work:
| 1. | Development and application of strategic traffic models using up-to-data data collection techniques, including SATURN software to WebTAG guidance. |
| 2. | Production of transport Economic Assessments for funding bids. |
| 3. | Preparation of bids to secure funding for transport revenue and capital interventions. |
| 4. | Development of the Local Transport Plan and other area and topic-based transport strategies, e.g. LCWIP, BSIP, EV Strategy and the Major Road Network (MRN) |
| 5. | Development and delivery of sustainable travel planning and behavioural change initiatives. |
| 6. | Advice on the implications and impact of major transport proposals, e.g. National Highways RIS3, and Network Rail infrastructure and services. |
| 7. | Preparation of evidence to assist the Council to promote or object to development proposals through Local Plan processes, including transport assessments |
