Cambridgeshire County Council Parish Register Digitisation Project

Cambridgeshire County Council is exploring soluntions to digitise its parish register archives and to make these available to the public via a hosted on-line service. The Council is wishing to invite expressions of interest from potential providers.

We are looking for a solution/provider that will:

• Provide colour digital images of each page in each supplied register up to 1900. Exact number of pages to be scanned is estimated to be 477,000.
• Provide master images to be high quality JPEG.
• Copyright in images to remain with Cambridgeshire County Council.
• Provide an on-line platform to enable public access to the parish registers with the ability to purchase images via secure transaction methods.
• Provide an income opportunity for the Council.

Potential providers who wish to express an interest should read and complete the expression of interest questionnaire. The questionnaire must be returned to chris.nunn@cambridgeshire.gov.uk by the 3rd March 2017.
