| - | Are timely and patient-centred providing the most appropriate method of treatment for each patient |
| - | Are high quality, sustainable, value for money and affordable |
The service will have the following objectives:
| a. | To operate well planned and clearly articulated care pathways covering defined presentations and conditions delivering safe, evidence-based care |
| b. | To ensure diagnostic tests are appropriate, necessary, clinically correct, of high quality with timely access and reporting |
| c. | To promote awareness, knowledge and implementation of clinical guidance for care of defined gastroenterological conditions amongst healthcare professionals |
| d. | To work collaboratively with other providers to ensure that transfer of care protocols are in place that ensure that service users have a seamless pathway of care |
