description

The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering for an Automated Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) Cluster Tool.

We require a new Automated Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) Cluster Tool for the creation of high quality ordered nanostructures based on III-V Quantum Dots (QDs). This system will complement a range of existing growth and fabrication facilities with the EPSRC National Centre for III-V Technologies, based at the University. A major application will be the growth of ultra-pure III-Arsenide materials and In(Ga)As QD based structures for a wide range of researchers based both in Sheffield and throughout the UK funded by EPSRC grants.

Our requirement is split into 3 Lots:

Lot 1 – MBE system Lot 2 – Surface analysis equipment Lot 3 – In-situ monitoring equipment
