The Authority is looking for suppliers for the Evaluation of quantitative molecular biology methods, the proposed work relates to the commitment in the Defra business plan to honesty in labelling, ensuring consumer confidence in the integrity of the food chain. This research requirement is for a critical assessment of different quantitative molecular biology methods that could be used to reliably determine the amounts of key characterising ingredients in foodstuffs including at very low levels to distinguish between adventitious and deliberate contamination
